So why do most people believe that the world is overpopulated ?

Most people accept overpopulation as a reality because mostly they live in the city, and cities are always crowded and human-damaged.

But the science behind the fear of overpopulation on a planetary scale looks to be quite outdated and false. The human race is in no danger of overpopulating the planet, and in fact is facing a demographic collapse. Hopefully that will precede the ecological collapse that economic misuse of the planet is causing
